I feel that I finally have some spare time that I can update this blog. It has almost been a year since my last update, but what a busy, crazy, stressful year. Going back to school with two kids is such a challenge. Managing your time is one of the hardest parts. When to study, clean the house, cook, spend time with the kids. It can get overwhelming. Yesterday was the first day that I didn't have to send Isaac down to watch a movie while Bryn took her nap so I could focus on school. Having our one on one time together and doing whatever he wanted was the best! And what he wanted to do was play, Mancala! (over and over)

I am free now (at least for three weeks) to put all my attention toward my kids. I don't have to feel guilty about cleaning the house or studying for a test. I can play with them all I want!

Ok, what is a quick way to update what has been going on lately with our family? So much has happened in the past year...

-As most of you know, we are pregnant again...having another girl in November. Not planned but it was meant to be if you get pregnant while on birth control!
-Darrin will finish his Bachelors degree in Nursing at the end of Fall. (We are crazy for both of us going to school this fall while having a baby in the middle.)
-On July 24th, Darrin ran his first marathon! The hard work they have to put into training for one of those is crazy. He trained for 4 months and by the time his marathon was over, he ran 418 miles in 4 months!
-Back in May between Spring and Summer classes, we got away to St. George for a few days. It was extremely nice and much needed. While down there, we went to Zions which I haven't been there since I was little and didn't remember much. Oh how beautiful that place is. We went on as many hikes as we could and the kids were fabulous the whole time.
Before we even started hiking, Isaac found the perfect boy jackpot.....fuzzy caterpillars!! Bryn had to join in on the fun!

Sorry tons of pictures....

The kids loved being able to run around in the open field.

The second day up Zion, it was a little cooler, but it still turned out perfect!

Our final picture, we went on a drive and through tunnels and Isaac wanted his picture with the tunnel!! (silly face and cute face!!)

Summer Fun!

I finally have a chance to update my blog! We have had such a busy summer this year, but fun too! We were looking for a house this summer, which we found one and should hopefully be closing on the house within the next week! We are so excited! I will hopefully get some pictures to post soon.
During the summer, we like to do a lot of activities together as a family. Isaac learned how to ride his bike without training wheels and so we go almost twice a week on a ride down the Jordan River Parkway, with Bryn on the back of my bike. Another thing we have loved is going on hikes. The mountains have been so beautiful this summer with all of that rain we had in June.

We were taking a rest and eating fresh peas!!

My cute boys!!! I love the view!

Here is a hike we like to do, Ensign Peak and watch the sunset

Isaac played T-ball for the first time this summer. He had a lot of fun! Whenever he was running into home base he would slide! This was his baseball outfit!

Bryn has learned how to roll! I can lay her on the floor scatter her toys out and she will roll all around the room! The last couple of days, she has also learned to say mamma and dadda!!!
Isaac and Bryn love to play together. Isaac will do some of the funniest things and Bryn will just watch him and start launghing really hard. Then he does it even more just to keep her laughing.

"Bless that we can go fishing!"

We finally went fishing, which Isaac prays to go do all the time.
Isaac is funny because he pretty much has an outfit for everything he wants to do.
This is his fishing outfit. He has his camping and fishing hat, and he found his fishing vest at kid to kid he had to get!! He is cute!

Isaac and Dad getting the poles ready.

Bryn was great during the trip. She stayed in her carseat all bundled up!

Isaac fishing with his own fishing pole. We didn't catch any fish there but Isaac really wanted to catch a fish so we took a minnow and put it on his hook and had him bring the line in. He was excited to use his net to scoop it out of the water!!!

Isaac tried to be sneaky and eat the donut without me seeing! He loves those raspberry filled donuts like his mom and dad!

Isaac playing in the dirt. I just had to take the picture!!!

Activities Together!

Here we took Isaac to the dinosaur museum.
The dinosaur he is laying on, he called Sarah(off of the Land Before Time) and he loved seeing SharpTooth(also off of the show).

Here a few pictures, we took the kids to a corn maze! It was a lot of fun! As long as they stayed close to us, we let them lead the way and tell us which way to go. You can get lost so easily that way, but it was fun to see them running around in the corn.

Zoo Time!

Ever since we told Isaac we were going to go to the zoo, he kept saying that he wanted to see the giraffes.

Not quite big enough yet Isaac!
He saw some bigger kids standing up to the gorilla and thought it was so cool so when everyone was gone, he ran right up there and spread his arms out.

Isaac was trying to be cool like Dad and lean up against the gorilla!

Isaac loved the train ride the best! After the ride was over and we got out, Isaac got down on his hands and knees and was looking underneath the train to check out the tires and the track!

Finally....

So....
Life has been so hectic lately, that I never find time to update this. Everyone is out of the house and Isaac is asleep, so here we go!!!

A family tradition we have is going to the Ogden Rodeo every year. As you can tell, Isaac had to wear his cowboy hat there. He loves to see all the animals, especially the horses and wants to ride them.

Now we both have mountain bikes which makes summer even more fun! We went up the canyon and went on a ride. Some parts were a little scary because you only had a small space and then the mountain would drop down. It was a lot of fun to be together!

About a month ago, Isaac and I had a night all by ourselves, so I took him to Hollywood Connection. We went all out! We ate dinner, played arcade games, and rode the carousel (which he didn't care for!) He loved riding the motorcycle and car arcade games. We won over 600 tickets and he picked out a stuffed dinosaur! It was great to spend the whole evening just with him.

We took a night to relax and go watch the sunset at Ensign Peak.

Isaac painted himself a monster mask! Very scary!

Another family thing we do is go to the state fair. Isaac loves it because he gets to see all the animals, go down the big yellow slide, and ride a horse!

Perfect timing.... I finished right when Isaac woke up!
